Back to School Events
The first week of school is a busy one! And, although school doesn’t officially begin until Wednesday, there are all sorts of events going on that week that you won’t want to miss!
Monday – August 22
4 pm – Freshmen Orientation
Pizza will be served to the freshman in the cafeteria at 6:15 pm.
7 pm – High School Student/Parent Orientation
All HS parents are invited to join us in the Huizenga auditorium for a look at a day in the life of a high schooler. You will have a chance to walk through your student's schedule, meet the teachers and see all the extracurricular activities available throughout the year. Parents of freshmen and new high school students are especially encouraged to attend.
Tuesday, August 23
1-3 pm – ES/MS Meet the Teachers
Students will have the opportunity to meet their teacher for the year, drop off school supplies, "move in" to their lockers and have a time of fellowship with classmates.
Wednesday, August 24
First day of School!
8:30-10:00 am – Back to School Coffee for Parents
It’s the first day of school and you’ve turned off ignored alarm clocks, cooked breakfast, packed lunches, loaded up back packs, dressed people in their first-day finest – and all before 7:30 a.m. Now take a few minutes for yourself. Join us for coffee and pastries from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Mini Gym.
4:30/6:15 pm - Sophmore/Varsity Soccer Game
First home Soccer game of the season! Cheer on the Trojans as they face the Lions from Lisle Senior High, last year's State Champion.
Thursday, August 25
8:30 am - 8th graders depart for annual retreat
Our 8th graders will pack up their sleeping bags and toothbrush and head to a camp for a time of community, team building exercises, Bible studies and spiritual growth. They will return in the early evening on Friday, August 25.
Friday, August 25
6:30 am – Big Boys on Campus – Men’s Prayer Group
(meet in the Business Office)
8:30 am – Mom’s in Touch - Women's Prayer Group
(meet in conference Room in High School)
Spend some time in prayer with other parents/grandparents to pray for our school, staff, students and community at large. Both groups will meet on a weekly basis throughout the school year. All are welcome to join us!
7 pm – 9 pm – Paradise Bay Family Swim Party and Ice Cream Social
PIE has reserved the entire Paradise Water Park (located in Lombard) just for Timothy elementary and
middle school families.
Admission to the party is just $2.00 per person with a maximum of $10.00 per family. (Please limit
attendance to Timothy families only.)
Lifeguards will be on duty however everyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
