Jeannette Bult “Jinny” De Jong '67
The 2000 recipient of the Distinguised Alumni Award is a graduate of the class of 1967, and the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for International Aid, a Christian world relief and logistics agency in Spring Lake, Michigan. She also served for over ten years as Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Women at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Jeannette, or Jinny as most of her friends know her, has served the Christian Reformed Church on Synodical study committees and is a frequent retreat and conference speaker. Her servant leadership is obvious to all who work with her; her many gifts have blessed individuals and Christian organizations.
While at Timothy, Jinny served as yearbook editor, was a member of the honor society, the literature club, math club, and played basketball. One of a number of “Keebler Kids” who came to Timothy from Grand Rapids, Jinny recalls her days at Timothy with fondness and appreciation.
