Jonathan Bradford - '67

Since 1981, Mr. Bradford has served as the Executive Director of the Inner City Christian Federation. ICCF is one of Michigan's leading community development corporations (CDC), and the only CDC in Michigan which operates its own internal revolving loan fund authorized by the State of Michigan to sell investment notes to the general public. Loan funds received are blended with equity to supply ICCF with affordable construction and bridge financing. ICCF also operates its own mortgage service. The HomeStart Mortgage Program is funded by participation loans from local banks and is geared to assist those who do not meet the criteria to qualify for standard mortgage financing. In addition, the organization is a state-licensed residential construction contractor. Under Mr. Bradford's guidance, ICCF has also developed a comprehensive housing education service division. Renters and owners participate in various activities or classes which provide new skills and self-confidence to enable success in their housing and other life goals. This month they are adding an Individual Development Account (IDA) component to further assure the success of the families they serve.
