Apple Pie Day
Giving Baker's Square a run for it's money, Timothy's Apple Pie day made 940 pies on Tuesday, October 9 between the hours of 8 am and 1:30 pm. We were blessed with a total of 72 workers who helped on the production line.
Sharon Hoekstra, who heads up this venture each year, reports that they made approximately $7,000 net profit, to benefit Timothy. The pies were "sold out" several days before production so some procrastinators were disappointed. Says Sharon "Apple Pie Day is indeed a lot of work, but it may well be one of the happiest events of the volunteer activities."
