PSAT Test Results

Juniors were given their PSAT/NMSQT results today, Monday, January 3 in their U.S. History classes.  Sophomores will be given their POSAT/NMSQT results during their lunch on Tuesday, January 4.  Their entire Score Report was reviewed and explained, after which students were able to take their report home.  Juniors were also given the Preliminary Course Selection for 12th Grade to look over and discuss with their parents.   If students or parents have any questions concerning the PSAT/NMSQT report, they should contact Mrs. David at 630-833-7575 Ext. 206 or david@timothychristian.com

ACT Prep Class

It is still possible to register for the ACT preparation class offered at Timothy Christian High School.  ACT 36 helps students become familiar with aspects of the ACT such as content, timing, pacing, and strategies.  It will review English and Math concepts, and the Writing portion of the ACT.   A practice ACT will also be given and scored.  The class will be offered 8 consecutive Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, beginning February 1.  The cost of the course is $250.00, which must be turned in to the office with the signed, student registration form.  Forms can be obtained from the office or by emailing and requesting it from Mrs. David david@timothychristian.com

Financial Aid Seminar - January 10, 2012

As your student gets closer to entering college, you may be thinking about financial aid and what you need to do to apply.  I invite you to attend a financial aid seminar being offered here at Timothy in the high school Library on Tuesday, January 10 at 7PM.  You’ll learn about the programs available to help you pay for a college education and how your family’s eligibility for financial aid is determined.  You will also receive guidance on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required to apply for federal and state financial aid programs.   No matter which college your student is considering or where you are in the college search process, this financial aid seminar should be helpful.
