Test Preparation

 

We believe that test familiarity and awareness are helpful to the student in the college admission testing arena.  However, the individual student and family must determine the level of participation and investment the student will partake in regarding test preparation.  If, the student and family desire to take advantage of individual test prep courses, we have some resources for you to use as you explore what is available and most suits your needs.

2.  Some Test Prep Courses Available in the Community

  • Excel Edge offers an eight week course at Timothy from 7:00-9:00 p.m. each Wednesday in February and March.   For information on dates and times, call Timothy's Counseling Center.
  • ACT Prep Guide is an official ACT test preparation CD-ROM program which guides you through a personalized test prep program using real timed ACT test.  The cost is $25.00 and can be ordered when registering for the ACT, or at www.act.org.
  • Your local community college such as College of DuPage at www.cod.edu/conted offers test preparation classes.
  • Although we do not promote private, profit-oriented organizations, there are several companies which offer Test Prep programs locally.  Fees and services listed are approximate.
