Elementary School Thanksgiving Food Drive
For years, it has been our annual Thanksgiving tradition at Timothy to collect food items and money for distribution to those who are in need. It’s a way to express our concern and love for others, and to honor God. Our hope and prayer is that we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Roseland Christian Ministries and Lawndale Christian Reformed Church are the organizations which received our donations. Both organizations are located in Chicago and have food pantries that distribute the food items. We collect non-perishable canned or boxed food items and paper goods.
This year, grades Pre-6th classes collected 34 carts and $480 in donations to benefit these two causes. After the Thanksgiving Worship on Wednesday, our willing and able 6th grade students helped load the trucks and sent them on their way to share Christ's love.
