Luis Hernandez

The thing that motivates me to serve on the board at Timothy is that I want to get more involved in my children's school since I have four currently attending. I also want to serve because I get an opportunity to possibly make a difference even if it is in a small way in the lives of current and future students at Timothy.

I have served for six years on Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I feel a board member can contribute new ideas with the mission in mind and find ways to further help increase opportunities for the students present and future.

I reside in Elmhurst and have lived there for almost three years. I have been married to Laura Hernandez for 17 years. We have four children, all attending Timothy: Louie and three daughters Elizabeth, Gracie, and Joy.

I work in Oak Brook as a Home Mortgage Consultant with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. I graduated from Lewis University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree and a minor in Business Administration. I was born in Mexico and came to this great country with my parents when I was four.
