TC vs. Riverside-Brookfield (W 2-0) The JV team was excited to win the second-to-last match of the season, bringing their conference record to 7-2. Although the team was down 15-20, Kendall Evenhouse was able to serve the team to 23-20 in an amazing run! TC went on to win the first set and despite a last minute run from RB, was able to win the match in two.

10/11/09 TC @ Illiana Invite (1st place)

The JV team won their first tournament of the season at the Illiana Invite 2009! The team went 3-0 in pool play as they played consistent and controlled volleyball, even coming back from being down, such as in set 2 against Grant Park. Another amazing stat was Cassidy Block's ability to serve 18 points in a row against opponent Seton. In the finals, TC lost the first set 20-25 against Shepard but was able to come back and win 25-19 in the second and 15-7 in the third. Overall a great day for the team!

10/8/09 TC @ Ridgewood W 2-1

Having lost previously lost to Ridgewood, TC needed a win this time around. However, the first set the team lost 22-25 and the second set didn't look much better as Ridgewood was up nearing the end of the set. However, Timothy challenged themselves, stepped up their intensity, and won 30-28. The team continued playing at this level and won the 3rd set 25-17. The JV team is currently 5-2 in the conference.

10/6/09 TC @ Elmwood Park W-2-1

As Timothy started the second round of conference matches, they found Elmwood Park to be a slightly tougher match this time around. TC lost a first close set but the team was able to come back to win the next two.

10/3/09 TC @ IC Knight Invite (4th place)

The Immaculate Conception Invite proved to be a tough tournament for the Trojan's. TC was able to play two teams they previously had lost to, but this time tied with both. The team placed 2nd in their pool and went on to play Plainfield South in the finals. TC continued playing scrappy defense but lost both sets 25-21 to place 4th place in the tournament.

10/1/09 TC @ Illiana L 0-2

TC lost a tough match to rival and conference team Illiana tonight. Set 1 was an exciting game, going to 25-27. Set 2 started off with an ace from Cassidy Block, but the team was unable to capitalize and lost the match 17-25.

9/29/09 TC @ Riverside-Brookfield W 2-1

Timothy's JV team played in a three-set match against, Riverside-Brookfield. After winning the first set, Makenzie Vos started off set 2 with a solo block. However, the team was not able to take the second set and instead won decisively in the third.

9/24/09  TC vs. Fenton  2-1

The JV team came out ready to play for Thursday's conference match against Fenton! Set one ended on an ace from libero Rose Clousing. Although the team continued to play well, Timothy lost a close second set at 25-27. However, the girls came ready to play in the third as Cassidy Block started off serving the first six points of the set as the team went on to win 25-10.

9/22/09 TC vs. Ridgewood L 1-2 
Timothy suffered their first home loss to Ridgewood, also a conference match. Despite loosing the first set, the team rallied back and came out strong for the second. However, a string of points from the opponent hurt TC in the beginning of the third set. Despite playing point-for-point the rest of the match, the team was unable to close the point gap. However, TC is excited to prepare for the next conference match on Thursday and are hoping to improve their conference record.

9/17/09 TC vs. Elmwood Park  W 2-0 

In the first conference match of the season, the JV team proved victorious over opponent Elmwood Park. The team looks forward to playing Ridgewood next week as the rest of the season matches are conference matches; save for two tournaments.

9/14/09 TC @ Latin School - L 1-2

The JV team suffered a loss tonight while away at Latin School. Although the team started off strong in the first set, the second proved more difficult. In a close third set TC lost to Latin in the final moments. However, TC showed great potential in the match and is excited to start conference play in their next match.

9/10 - vs. IMSA - W- 2-0
Having played IMSA before, it was great to see the JV team's improvement as they

defeated IMSA in two sets.

9/8/09 @ Walther Lutheran   W 2-0

9/5/09 @ ACCHS Tournament - 2nd Place

The JV had a successful first tournament at Aurora Central Catholic, coming in first in their pool and in 2nd over-all place. Although starting slowly and splitting the first match vs. Rockford Christian, Timothy picked up their play and continued to defeat the rest of the teams in their conference, save one set vs. ACC. The team then went on to play IC in the finals with Timothy winning a close first set, but unfortunately losing the next two. Overall, a great day.

9/3/09 vs. Wheaton Academy - W 2-1
Timothy enjoyed a victory over Wheaton Academy in the JV team's first home match of the season. 
 The match was a 3-set thriller where the girls proved their ability to stay focused under pressure.

9/1/09 @ Westmont - L 1-2
The JV's first game may have ended in a loss but overall was a great first match for the team.  Timothy looks forward to using this as a learning opportunity for their next match.
