I consider it an honor to serve on Timothy Christian’s School Board. It is quite a calling, to have input in how our children are taught about Jesus and the impact He wants them to have in His world. My motivation to serve on Timothy’s Board is to ensure that Timothy continues to be more than just an institution of brick and mortar but the hands and feet of Christ. Each child needs to know that their heavenly Father loves them and that He has called them to do something special for Him. It is our responsibility as educators to help guide these children to find out what that calling may be.
My children are part of our family’s third generation to attend Timothy. This is not meant to highlight something great we have done but to proclaim God’s faithfulness. The Reformed Christian perspective has certainly had its part in shaping our worldview. It teaches us that God wants to be in every part of our life. Timothy provides a Christ-centered education that plays a significant role in encouraging and guiding our children. And many times this requires us to make sacrifices in order to ensure that He remains number one in our lives.
I graduated from Timothy Christian in 1989. I graduated from Calvin College with a BA in History and Business in 1993. In 1998 I received my MBA from Loyola University of Chicago. In 2004 I received my CPA license. I currently own and manage Drummond Industries Inc.; a manufacturer of plastic injection molded parts. My wife Kristin and I have three children, two of whom attend Timothy’s grade school. We live in Elmhurst and attend Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church.
