Cheerleaders take 1st at Sectionals - January 30, 2010
Yes... they did it again! The Varsity Cheerleaders won the IHSA Sectional Cheerleading Championship at Belvidere High School on Saturday for the second year in a row! The squad knew they had performed their personal best and and the the judges rewarded their efforts by giving them a 5 point lead over the second place team, making it a clear cut victory.
The team will travel to Bloomington on Thursday evening and compete in the State preliminaries beginning Friday morning and hopefully on to Saturday for the Finals. The cheerleaders are coached by Mrs. Cheryl Jokich and TC Alum Aaron Armstrong. GO TROJANS!
IHSA State Cheerleading Information
Timothy’s cheerleaders will perform at 9:25 am on Friday morning. The top 10 teams will advance to the finals on Saturday morning at 11:00 am.
