For the past eleven years, Timothy seniors have stayed overnight in Lawndale, IL for Senior Serve, an extensive immersion in inner city culture, worship, and ministry. This is the culminating service project required of all seniors. The goal of such a policy is to engage students in our mission of "serving God and his people."
Timothy Seniors had the privilege of partnering in ministy with the community of Lawndale and assisting them in the work they do for the Kingdom of Christ. The students were broken into work groups and assigned a task at Lawndale Community Church, Chicago Westside Christian School, Lawndale Christian Reformed Church or Humboldt Community Christian School..
The students also enjoyed fellowship through Small Groups Bible Studies, corporate worship and pizza at a famous downtown eatery. Various HS staff members also participated and worked (and played!) alongside the students. It is definitely a capstone experience for our Timothy Seniors.
