Banket Day - November 3, 2011
A small, but mighty team gathered in the high school cafeteria on Thursday morning to produce massive amounts of a popular Dutch pastry. Banket (pronounced bon-ket) is a delicate, almond filled treat, often shared and enjoyed during the holiday season. Volunteers rolled, filled and packaged the banket for their eager customers.
Banket Day organizer Joyce Hoogstra reports that they made approximately $4,000 this year which will be donated to the school.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered or made a purchase...they couldn't do it with you!
