Golf Team Headed to State Competition

The IHSA Golf State Competition has not seen a Timothy Golf team since 1999, when the team took 6th place in state...until, that is, this year!

The Varsity Golf team qualified for State at yesterday's Sectional round played at Park Hills Golf Course in Freeport, Illinois. The boys were leading the tournament at the turn and then hung on for dear life on a brutal back nine. They ended up being the 3rd place team by 4 strokes, shooting a 335 team score.   The scores that were counted yesterday were: senior Mike Hennel-81, junior Michael Karpman -83,  junior Caleb Funke-85 , and senior Chris Ridolphi-86. 

  

Now it is on to Bloomington to compete in the STATE FINALS on Friday and Saturday.  Please keep the team and Coach Tom Day in your prayers as they travel and compete this weekend!
