No Shave November Fundraiser
During the month of November, our four, brave, male middle school teachers opted not to shave their facial hair for No Shave November. Was it to scare their students into obeying or simply a show of masculine prowess? Nope...it was for a good cause!
The teachers had a contest in which the students had to pay 50 cents for a vote to decide which of them had the coolest beard. The proceeds from the contest will benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Timothy's 8th graders have volunteered there on an semi-annual basis for the past several years.
In the end, these four men were able to earn a total of $245.86 and teacher Matt Van Schepen (far right) earned bragging rights as the coolest beard.
