Lady Trojans "Think Pink" and Raise Money for Cancer Research
On Tuesday, January 17, the Lady Trojans hosted Chicago Christian for "Think Pink Night”. It was a special evening with the theme focused on Breast Cancer Awareness as well as cancer research. The color pink was everywhere, including the Lady Trojans jerseys and it was evident that the support for this worthy cause has touched many people.
The team was honored to have TC parent Mrs. Tracy Leach give her testimony of her personal fight against Breast Cancer before the game. It was very moving and inspirational. The game was a real nail-biter as both teams played well and fought for the victory. In the end, Timothy defeated Chicago Christian 44-41. However, the night really belonged to the fight against cancer.
We are grateful for all the helping hands, donors, parents and TC community for making a night to remember!! We were able to raise over $1300 which will be donated to the Kay Yow Foundation.
