Pennies for Penicillin Results
On Thursday, May 8, our 2nd grade class welcomed back missionary Ena VanderMolen. During the months of March and April, the students were collected loose change for their " Pennies for Penicillin" project. The students shared with Miss Ena the different ways they had earned the money which ranged from helping set the table to pulling weeds to walking the dog. They also sang several songs for her, including our theme song and a final blessing song "May the Lord bless you and keep you."
The class hoped to reach the goal of $400. We are happy to report that the class presented a check to Miss Ena for $560.08! The money will be used to purchase medical supplies for the people in the Phillipines.
