My wife Beth and I grew up in the Chicago area, met in high school and have been married for 37 years. We have three married grown children and four grandchildren. We moved to Glen Ellyn 7 years ago and really enjoy living in the Chicago metropolitan area again after three decades living in New York, Florida and Iowa . We love to attend concerts, plays and sporting events in the city. I am energized by travel abroad. In the last decade we have visited Europe, China and Japan. I enjoy reading books on Christian apologetics.
Professional Biography
I graduated from Trinity Christian College with a BA in History, received a Master’s Degree in History and Political Science from The College of St. Rose (New York) and received my administrative certification through the University of South Florida. I have had the privilege of teaching in and administering Christian schools in New York, Florida, Iowa and Illinois.
My goal at Timothy Christian High School is to promote a positive school community where each student, teacher, and staff member is valued and encouraged to be the best they can be with the abilities and gifts the Lord has given them.
Philosophical Biography
Paul said to the first generation of Christians that they must “understand the present time.” (Romans 13:11) This is no less true at the beginning of the 21st century. Christian schools must assist in nurturing the next generation so that they not only cope but confidently live out the gospel of Jesus Christ in our time. The era we are now entering may provide greater opportunities for the spread of the kingdom of God than we might imagine. We must teach our young people to hold to the principles of the Word of God while communicating the love and grace of Jesus Christ. The Christian community must hold to absolute truths while being compassionate. We must be people of conviction and compassion.
