Snow Day/Late Start Procedure
As the first significant winter storm approaches the Chicagoland area and visions of “Snow Day” are dancing in heads, we’d like to remind everyone of the school closing procedure.
If it is deemed necessary to either cancel school or have a “Late Start,” we will make every effort to communicate this decision before the students leave home for the bus or school. We will notify the Chicagoland Emergency Closing Center which will post it on their website (www.emergencyclosingcenter.com). In addition, you can sign up with this site to receive free e-mail notification.
Through the Emergency Closing Center, announcements will be on the following AM radio stations:
WMAQ 670, WGN 720, WBBM 780
Also, several local television stations will make the announcements:
WBBM, WMAQ, WLS, WGN, WFLD and CLTV.
In addition, we will post any school closing/late start information prominently on the home page of the Timothy website before 6 am on the day in question.
