THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“Death is the ultimate weapon of the tyrant; resurrection does not make a covenant with death; it overthrows it. The Resurrection, in the full Jewish and early Christian sense, is the ultimate affirmation that creation matters, that embodied human beings matter.” –N.T. Wright in “The Resurrection of the Son of God”

FROM ONE BOARD MEMBER TO YOU . . .
Recently several members of the Board of Directors spent a morning on campus distributing contracts for teachers and administrators and gave staff the opportunity to share thoughts and concerns. Here’s one summary offered by a Board member at the end of the morning: “What a blessing this morning was to me. I came away even more grounded in the fact that we are part of an incredibly God-glorifying institution. Integrity, genuine love for the students, desire to enhance each child’s walk with Jesus, and passion to teach at Timothy radiated from each teacher. I left the campus being thankful that my kids are surrounded in this environment and also with an increased respect for our faculty.”

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Leaving a plush restaurant one evening, a miserly gentleman brushed past the valet without tipping him.
Nonetheless, the valet helped the man into his car with a flourish and said pleasantly, "By the way, in case you happen to lose your wallet on the way home, sir, just remember that you didn't pull it out here."
