Personal
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, attending Timothy Christian High School my freshman through senior year. It was at Timothy I took my first photography class (with Jim Hartgerink – who’s still on staff) and discovered my true passion. I went on to study Art Studio at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL where I focused on photography and graphic design.
Professional
I have had the opportunity to own a small business and work for others in a variety of capacities. Most recently, I served as Creative Director for CHANGEffect – a brand consultancy focusing on faith-based and non-profit organizations.
Philosophical
We live in a world in which we’re constantly bombarded by the media with images. Our students are challenged to discern these messages and question its influence in their own lives. My hope is to cultivate artist who participate in and influence culture with their own beliefs, world view and images.
