Personal Profile
I have been described as creative, logical, intense, and visionary. I enjoy strategy games, World War II history, muscle cars, and all things science. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my wife and two girls or alone in a natural setting with the Lord. Both of our daughters now attend Timothy.
Professional Profile
I have a B.S. in Chemistry from Bradley University. I used this knowledge to perform organic chemistry research as well as work for Caterpillar’s oil lab and two different pharmaceutical firms before God called me into teaching. My teaching certification is through Trinity Christian College. I also have an M.A. in Teacher Leadership from Roosevelt University. I joined Timothy Christian Schools staff in 1995.
Philosophical Profile
I agree with Reformed theologian Abraham Kuyper when he wrote, “There is not an inch in all Creation of which Jesus does not say ‘Mine’.” I believe in focusing current scientific knowledge and theories through a Christian lens. In addition to understanding science, I want my students to answer questions like “What are our Christian responsibilities now that we have this new information” and “How can this information deepen my faith and understanding of our Creator?”.
