I graduated from Calvin College.  After Calvin I moved to Momence, Illinois to teach grades K-3 at Unity Christian School.  During my four years at Unity, I completed a Master’s degree at Olivet Nazarene University.  In 1987 I moved to Elmhurst to begin teaching first grade at Timothy.  During my years at Timothy I’ve had the opportunity to teach grades one, three, four, seven and eight.  Presently I am coordinator of the Impact program at Timothy.

Philosophical Profile

As a Christian teacher in a Christian school, I believe that it is my opportunity and my responsibility to use a variety of materials and methods to teach my varied students what it means to live in a Christian community while preparing them to live as Christian disciples.
