Life in Third Grade:
In Third Grade we strive to help our students grow in their spiritual lives. Throughout the year in Bible our children will see God’s care and goodness to both individuals and to nations. We discover that even though people make mistakes, God in His grace forgives them, and offers them salvation.
In Reading we focus on fluency and comprehension, enabling each child to move from concrete to abstract concepts. Students are encouraged to creatively express themselves in writing so that we can communicate effectively in God’s world.
In Math and Science we work to help children become effective problem solvers and learn about God’s world of order, patterns, and numbers. Throughout Third Grade, we emphasize a community in which we establish an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and respect for one another.
Colossians 3:16-17
