Commencement exercises were held for the Timothy Christian High School Class of 2017 on Sunday, May 21 at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. The opening prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. A. Craig Troxel, father of graduate Thomas Troxel. A welcome speech was given by Salutatorian Trevor Hoogendoorn, who reflected on the graduates’ memories of their time at TC. Carl Miller delivered the Valedictory Speech, in which he compared the relationship of citizenship on earth to our citizenship in heaven.

After special music by the Concert Chorale, Jay Evenhouse, President of the TC Alumni Board, presented the Distinguished Alumni Award to Mr. Peter Huizenga. Following remarks by Mr. Huizenga, the Commencement Address was given by Kurt Dykstra, President of Trinity Christian College.

The 83 graduates were then presented with their diplomas by Steve DeBoer, President of TC’s Board of Directors. A closing prayer was offered by Rev. Mac Wiener, Timothy Bible teacher. After recessing from the sanctuary, graduates were greeted by family and friends to begin celebrating their accomplishments.

Congratulations and God’s blessings to the Class of 2017!
