Mrs. Tracey Jarzombek
My desire to be directly involved in fulfilling Timothy’s mission to develop “academically prepared Christian disciples” is what motivates me to serve on the Timothy Board of Directors. I am motivated to ensure that not only my children receive this instruction, but all the students become leaders for Christ in our world.
Being a Timothy graduate (’88) and a Calvin College graduate (’92) provided me with a distinctly Christian educational experience. This experience definitely prepared me for being in this world but not of it. Prior to becoming a full time stay at home mom, I worked as a social worker for the Head Start pre-school program. I believe God gave me the heart to work with economically disadvantaged families. In addition, through my experience in Christian school, he gave me the fortitude and training to execute that job in a Christ-like manner.
I have been a member of Lombard Christian Reformed Church my entire life. This has presented a variety of ministry leadership opportunities to fulfill my gifts. I have served as Education Committee Chairperson, Sunday School Teacher, Coffee Break Leader, Story Hour Director, Women’s Bible Study leader and as a servant in many other ways.
As a Board Member, I believe we can help prepare Christian disciples by seeking God’s will and encouraging not only the Timothy Staff, but also the families. My husband Paul and I eagerly anticipated the day that our children Jackson, Ellinor, and Harrison would go to Timothy and experience the same wonderful preparation for discipleship that I received. I am honored to serve.
