K-8 Arts - Music
All grades visit the Music Room once a week or more.
Students will learn that music is an integral part of creation, and it speaks to each one uniquely and beautifully. They will learn that music enriches and deepens faith and is in the curriculum for discovery, use, and praise. They will listen to it, sing it, read it, move to it, play it, create it, and interpret it. Music is God’s gift to us as well as our gift to him. It is a way for us to express our thoughts, our beliefs, our feelings, and our praise.

Students are given the opportunity in fifth grade to begin participating in Band or Orchestra. If they are not playing an instrument, they will continue to learn about the gift of music during Music Class or Chorus.
