Corey Phillip Nominated For Athlete of the Month
The Chicago Triblocal newspaper has nominated Timothy Junior Corey Phillip as one of the candidates for the high school sports athlete of the month.
Corey scored the winning goal in the Class A Boys Soccer State Championship game in the fourth overtime period. Corey was the team’s leading scorer with 20 goals. He also lead the team in assists with 18 recorded throughout the season.
The local candidates for player of the month are voted on via an online poll. Voting begins on December 1st.
