"On behalf of the Illinois High School Association and the Board of Directors, I wish to applaud your high school's First Place finishing in the 2009 Boys Class 1A Soccer State Final.

Your team's hard work and determination is recognized by not only this Association but by all the parents, schools and communities that are part of the high school soccer experience.  Be proud!

It is especially satisfying to know that by displaying the values of good competition and good sportsmanship in your teams' performance, Timothy Christian High School and Coach Rudi Gesch have become models for the values of soccer that will be reflected in the future direction of the sport.

Congratulations to your soccer team.  I know you will live up to the responsibilities that go along with this honor."
