New to You Upscale Resale

The New to You Upscale Resale is a combined effort of Timothy Christian, Daystar School, Humboldt Community Christian, and Chicago West Side Christian.
All proceeds from store sales are exclusively used for the advancement of Christian education in the four schools. Timothy receives 50% of all profits and the balance is divided among the three partner schools. The store is staffed by volunteers from all four schools. In and through working together, volunteers will learn about each other and their faith communities.
The store offers a wide variety of new and used items, including, but not limited to, antiques and other collectibles, books, boutique items, clothing, electronics, furniture, housewares, jewelry, music and videos, shoes, small appliances, sporting goods, and toys.

How can you help?
1. Donate merchandise
Donations are accepted daily at the rear entrance of the store between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. No donations will be accepted on Sunday or holidays. All items must be clean and in resalable condition. It would be of great help if bagged items were marked for contents. We will also make arrangements with you to pick up any large furniture donations. Please contact us to make arrangements for pick up. Suggested items to donate include:
- Furniture
- Clothing/shoes
- Housewares/linens
- Small appliances
- Computer/ components
- Jewelry
- Antiques/vintage items
- Books/magazines
- Music and videos
- Toys/sporting goods
2. Volunteer
We always have a need for volunteers to work in all areas. We always need assistance in the following areas:
- Receiving and sorting donations
- Preparing items for sale, including minor repairs, if needed
- Putting items out on the floor
- Walking the floor during store hours
- Restocking the different departments
- Cashiering and bagging
- Opening and closing the store
- Aiding the website development
- Looking up value of items on the Internet
- Picking up of large furniture donations (including driving the truck)
