Middle School Visual Arts Program

Students are required to take one art class in middle school.  In that class they learn how to create three dimensional effects on a flat surface by using cylindrical and linear perspective.   Emphasis is placed on using a full range of value by making gradations from black to white.   A three dimensional assignment will also be created during this class.

Basic skills are taught that pertain to each subject area along with the elements and principles of design.  Assignments are given that challenge students to think creatively and be original. Students are encouraged to express their Christianity through their work and to use their artistic talents for service to others and as an act of worship.

“The Christian is the one whose imagination should fly beyond the stars.”
