The classes within the FACS program encourage students to discover and utilize the gifts God has given to each individual.  A hands-on approach is used to teach the basic life skills. The premise is a Biblical approach in the interaction with people, as Jesus commanded, “For I gave you and example that you also should do as I did to you.” John 13:15

Students will learn how to live efficiently as they go through their daily routines. They will be taught skills that will promote independent as well as interactive Christian living. They will be encouraged to grow in their relationship with Christ so that they can embrace His plan for their lives. The Lord says in Jeremiah 17:7-8, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

The FACS curriculum honors the family as an integral part of God’s creational design. Students will be challenged to accept the responsibility to interact in a Christ-like manner within the home and their community. The message in

Proverbs 24:3-4 sums this emphasis of the responsibility by saying; “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”
