Department Summary

The Technology Education or Industrial Arts program at Timothy offers a wide array of opportunities for students to explore the world of technology and industry.

Some of the main concepts that these classes teach our students include; emphasizing Godly stewardship, thinking critically and discerning information presented to our culture from a Christian perspective, and understanding our responsibility in becoming technologically literate members of society. This includes assessing technology appropriately, addressing both the Christian and secular perspective on current and relevant issues.

We also strive to help our students to identify their God given skills and talents so that they might identify and understand fields of technological study which they may be lead to pursue as a career. Specifically we look to educate our students to the benefits and dangers associated with technology surrounding a Christian’s life and to help them achieve a level of understanding that spans beyond the normal consumer’s interest.

Adhered to this are biblical Christian principles that apply throughout the entire curricula, like integrity, truth, purity, faith, and honesty. All of which should be reflections of the walk our students display as they interact with and use technology throughout their lives. The following are specific courses that we currently offer in the technology department.
