After two years of planning, meetings, decisions, construction and many prayers, the Timothy community had a chance to take a look at the result of all that work and tour the new Middle School the evening of Thursday, September 14. A large crowd gathered outside the facility at 6 pm for a few brief remarks from School Board member Mr. Mike Alles and Superintendent Mr. Matt Davidson. Mr. Bob Venhousen, Director of Advancement gave a prayer of thanksgiving, followed with the Ribbon Cutting by Timothy Foundation President Mr. Peter Huizenga, School Board President Joel Tameling and Mr. Matt Davidson. The ribbon cutting ceremony was live streamed and we had people watching the event from all over the country.

People attending were able to tour the facility, visit with friends, have their photo taken in the photo booth, enjoy refreshments and watch the live feed of Instagram pictures on the large screen in the common area.

“This is amazing!” was a common statement heard throughout the evening. One group of high school juniors even said it almost made them want to go back to middle school.

Classes begin in our new building on Monday, September 18. We are grateful to God for His providence in this project and, all the many donors who made Project IMPACT a possibility!
