In what has been a banner year for teams at Timothy Christian, we are excited to announce another Top 10 State Finisher!
Congratulations to the WYSE team for their 4th place finish at the State tournament yesterday. Individual standouts included; Noah Bezanson (2nd place in Engineering Graphics), Jack Vandermolen (3rd place in Engineering Graphics), Nathaniel Yurschak (4th place in Chemistry), Sure Wang (4th place in Physics), and Alex Zebutis (5th place in Physics).
WYSE is a competitive series of tests created and administered by Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering and offered to high school students in Illinois and Missouri. The students compete by taking a series of tests that become increasingly more difficult as they go from Regionals, Sectionals and finally, State. The Test material is taken from senior high school and freshman level college curricula. They have 40 minutes to complete multiple-choice tests that range in length from 30 questions (computer science) to 100 questions (English).
Timothy has historically had a very strong showing in WYSE, starting back in 1996, with a first place in Regionals & Sectionals and coming in 9th at State. Throughout the years, we have consistently finished 1st or 2nd in Regionals and Sectionals and have been top 10 in State since 2001.
Congratulations to the entire team and Coach Carlton Rink!
