Mrs. Gail Salvatori

Personal Profile

Hello!  One of the most important facts about me, is that I have four grown daughters, and 5+ grandchildren.  I live in Wheaton, as I have for many years, and I worship at Parkview Community Church with my girls, even though I work at Grace Lutheran Church beforehand!  There are three truths about me that define who I am:  1. I hold a deep faith in God and His Son, Jesus, because I have been loved consistently, rebuilt gently, and protected ferociously  2.  I value with honor the relationships with my children/grandchildren, who provide endless connection with what matters in this life 3. I have a passion for music as a tool for communication of the soul.  Music is, as stated by Yo-Yo Ma, ‘The Art of the Possible’.

Professional Profile

I graduated from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in 1976 with a  BA Music Performance, violin/piano.  I started at Timothy in 1999.  I have 15 years experience recording work, such as Veggie Tales videos, 7 Mannheim Steamroller CD’s, over 100 TV/Radio commercials, etc.  I have 30 years experience in Private teaching, 30 yrs exp. as an Accompanist, and 30 years orchestral playing such as Ballet Chicago.

Philosophical Profile

My goal as a music educator at a faith-based school, is to not only prepare my students as quality musicians, with a basic knowledge of theory, history, style, and technique, but also understanding how music’s core values also tie into spiritual values.  I work to maintain a positive classroom of safety and freedom of expression for each individual student, and as a group.  I continue to develop interactive experiences between the orchestra and other departments/individuals within the school.
