Mr. Kevin Schoenbach

Personal Profile
I enjoy a music filled life in and outside of TC, performing at my church in Geneva, as well as churches all over the suburbs on trombone and tuba. I also play jazz, and am currently performing in a funk band called the Manhattan Project. I live and die with the Cubs and Bears, and am currently on a quest to see all of the major league ballparks-I am up to 23 of them.
Professional Profile
I am a graduate of Lisle Senior High School and Northern Illinois University, where I got degrees in Music Education and Music Performance. I taught at Taft School in Lockport for two years, doing band, choir, and music classes, before coming to Timothy in 2003 to take over the band program. At Timothy, I direct the beginning band, sixth grade band, MS Band, Symphonic Band, as well as the TC Jazz Ensemble and the high school music appreciation class. Other activities I take part in are Pep band during basketball season, Pit Orchestra for the musicals, the HS Worship band, and coaching the JV Baseball team.
Philosophical Profile
I am so blessed to have found a place where I can do what I love and worship my God, all under one roof. I try to treat music as one of the many beautiful things God has given us, and if it worth him bestowing upon us this gift, it is worth doing it to the best of our abilities, striving for excellence at all times and never accepting “good enough”.
