Ms. Cynthia Wagle

Personal Profile

My love for the outdoors is due to my being raised in the small farm town of Geneseo, IL, and being my dad’s daughter.  I enjoy just being outside, so, most of my favorite activities I do outside whenever possible. I really enjoy walking, especially early in the morning, reading books that captivate me, tending my garden, camping by a lake, creating a quilt, digging in the Bible, and of course, sending time with my children, Joshua, daughter in-love Ashley (after September 3!) and Hannah. Yes, we are dedicated Green Bay Packer fans!  My theme song is “I’m a Survivor” by Reba McIntyre and my most quoted book of the Bible is Philippians chapter 4, especially verse 13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Basically, my motto is “Live Simply, Laugh Often, Love Much”.

Professional Profile

My college background includes: AA degree from Black Hawk College, Moline, IL

BS from Illinois State University, Normal, IL, and MA from Northeastern, Chicago, IL. I was privileged to join the teaching staff at Timothy in 1999.  I enjoy helping with the costumes for the musicals and plays, working with the PEER Mentoring program to welcome new students, and encouraging students to create in Quilting Club.

Philosophical Profile

I am forever awed by God’s magnificent creation, His unfailing love and His amazing saving grace. If  I could summarize my philosophy into a song title it would be, “Just a Closer Walk With Thee”. That is my heart’s desire for myself and my students

My goal in teaching is to create an atmosphere for students to feel safe in learning about themselves and gain life skills with a “hands-on” approach. I believe wisdom comes from experiencing God’s presence, gleaning from His Word and learning from our mistakes. My desire is that students discover how precious they are to Jesus Christ and that He has a wonderful plan for their lives. He is waiting for us to focus on Him.
