Mrs. Anna Watson

Personal Profile

I was born and raised in Clinton, Indiana and moved to the Chicago area 11 years ago.  For the past nine years, I have lived in Elmhurst with my husband, Scott.  We have been married for thirteen years and have two daughters, Lauren and Kate, who are students at Timothy.  We share our home with our Springer Spaniel, Murphy.  Our family attends Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elmhurst, and I enjoy being a member of the hand bell choir and altar guild there.

Professional Profile

I began my teaching career in the area of Business Education in Terre Haute, Indiana.  I taught there for three years and discovered that I had a passion for helping the students who struggled.  Therefore, I decided to pursue a graduate degree in Special Education.  I obtained my M.A. in Teaching Students with Learning Disabilities in 2003 after student teaching at Timothy.  After two years of tutoring and staying home with my pre-school children, I was blessed with the offer to teach grades K-3 in the Discovery Center.

Philosophical Profile

I believe that an education without God is incomplete. As a Christian educator, my faith and trust in the Lord must be evident in all that I do.  I feel that children are a gift from God with each having unique gifts and abilities.  As a Christian special education teacher, it is my goal to help them reach their God given potential and achieve all that He desires for them.
