In my years of working alongside Christian schools, universities, and organizations, I have seldom seen a document like Timothy Christian Schools’ Bridge Builder Initiative. It is absolutely outstanding. Christian schools often develop plans for increasing diversity that are biblically profound and persuasive, but they can be lacking in practical strategies and directives for growth and progress. Others provide a practical blueprint for reaching diversity milestones, but are bereft of biblical context and explicitly Christian values. Timothy Christian Schools expertly combines both the practical and the biblical in this document. It provides a clear and comprehensive blueprint for how TCS will create a diverse, God-honoring culture that is accessible to all God's children. In its kingdom minded vision, it provides a glimpse of heaven on earth.
To state it plainly, this document is “next level.” Its goals and timelines are linked to TCS’ mission and values, and to the Bible itself. Timothy leaves no stone unturned in crafting numerous creative initiatives and strategies that will undoubtedly position Timothy Christian Schools as a national leader among faith-based schools in kingdom diversity. Habakkuk 2:2-3 says, “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Timothy Christian Schools has written down the vision, and they are now running toward successful implementation with the wind of God in their sails.
In summary, The Bridge Builders Initiative has been written “for such a time as this.” It is a careful document, it is a wise document, it is a loving document, and it is a faithful document. I hope and pray that other Christian organizations model this process and method to produce similar plans for actualizing kingdom diversity and faithful community. Well done.
