Preschool

The Power of Play

Your child’s first school experience should be joyful, nurturing, and rooted in purpose. At Timothy Christian Schools, preschool is a place of wonder and discovery—where every moment is intentionally designed to launch your child’s academic growth through play, relationships, and Christ-centered learning.
We believe big growth happens in little hearts when learning is fun, faith-filled, and personalized.

Questions You’re Probably Asking

  • Will my child feel safe and loved?

  • Will they grow in their faith?

  • Will they be ready for kindergarten?

At Timothy, the answer is yes. Our preschool is intentionally designed to support whole-child development—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

A Preschool That Grows the Whole Child

  • Christ-Centered Learning
Whether playing, reading, or singing, every day your child is learning about God’s love and their place in His world. Faith is woven into everything we do.
  • Play with Purpose: Multi-Age Classrooms
We know play is powerful. It’s how kids learn best — it’s how they build social skills, emotional resilience, and creativity. Our multi-age classroom is a perfect blend of play, learning, and growth. Younger kids get to learn from their older peers, while older kids get the chance to shine as role models. Everyone thrives — no matter their age or stage.
  • Building Key Skills
From problem-solving and decisions-making to communication and empathy, we help your child develop essential life skills through fun activities like storytelling, role-playing, and imaginative play. The world is their classroom, and they're always ready for the next adventure.
  • Personalized Learning
Teachers meet each child where they are—offering differentiated, theme-based instruction in early math, literacy, science, Bible, and the arts. No one gets left behind.

Parent Partnerships That Matter

  • Weekly classroom updates and photos keep you in the loop

  • A mid-year conference gives you a full picture of your child’s academic, social, and emotional growth

  • Teachers pray for your child by name and walk alongside your family in every season

Kindergarten-Ready and Confident

With high demand for our kindergarten program, Timothy preschoolers are already one step ahead. We track early literacy and numeracy benchmarks and build strong social-emotional skills so your child is confident, equipped, and excited for the next chapter.

Our Afternoon Exploration program offers hands-on, curiosity-driven learning five days a week. Each themed day sparks new ideas, movements, and friendships.

Afternoon preschool explorations have been designed to allow children to continue to explore the world around them through a variety of activities and experiences. The programs extend the preschool day and allow you to create a schedule that meets your child’s needs, whether that’s just one afternoon a week, or many.  All programs will offer developmentally appropriate activities that encourage children to explore God’s world.  After lunch there will be an opportunity for gross motor play and rest time. Then we will embark on an afternoon of exploration and fun.

Little Movers

Does your preschooler love to learn through movement? Little Movers is the place for them! Preschool children will develop gross and fine motor skills through indoor and outdoor play, group activities, and games. They can develop coordination, listening skills, and cooperation while engaging in activities. The development of gross motor skills allows every child to grow physically and emotionally.

Little Travelers

Our world belongs to God and we can’t wait to help your child explore it! Preschool children will discover an appreciation for communities near and far and diverse cultures in the world around them. The children will “travel” both domestic and abroad as they are exposed to various city buildings, land formations, and traditions.

Little Artists

Bring out your child’s artistic creativity in Little Artists! Preschool children will explore a variety of styles of art as they use different media to create.  As they engage in various activities, children will learn that art is a way to express oneself and to communicate with others. Children will develop fine motor skills as they cut, paint, and glue, as well as learn to communicate with others about what they are creating.

Little Scientists

Does your child wonder how things work? Are there a lot of “why” questions asked at your house? Then your child will enjoy Little Scientists! As the children engage in nature-based activities and science experiments, they will have the opportunity to explore the world God created. Explorations will include observing, predicting, and developing conclusions as they investigate the world around them.

Little Musicians

Let’s explore the gift of music together! Preschool children will be introduced to different styles of music as they develop a sense of rhythm, spatial awareness, and appreciation for music.  Children will interact with a variety of instruments to create their own music and will also have the opportunity to make instruments.

A note about Afternoon Explorations: Timothy prioritizes four year olds over three year olds when considering placement for 5-day AM with 5-day Afternoon Explorations.

Meet Our Teachers

From Left-to-Right

Mrs. Stacy Wiegers: “I love that the students have such excitement to learn.  It is so refreshing to see them create and explore with the simplest of materials. Preschoolers inspire me by their creativity and their joyful spirits. I am blessed to help them explore God’s world!”

Mrs. Sonja Corrigan: “Each one of my preschool students is a unique child of God and I have the privilege of helping them grow in their love for the Lord.  What an incredible privilege!  We discover God’s world together, remember God’s promises in our Bible stories, and spend time in prayer together each day.  One of my favorite parts of each school day is welcoming my students.  They arrive with big smiles, full of enthusiasm, and ready to share!  Preschoolers love learning and being a part of a classroom community and I am so thankful to be a part of their first school experiences.”

Mrs. Katie Crichton: “Whether they are 3 or 18, kids need to be reminded often that they are God’s special and unique creations. It is a privilege to be able to teach our youngest and oldest students on campus in a Christ centered environment. I believe that each student has a unique God given purpose and path. My job as a teacher is to encourage, nurture, and guide them as they learn and explore all God has created. I find it important to create a classroom environment where all students feel God’s love, learn to love and accept others, and feel they are safe to learn, create, and discover in their unique way."
