Become a Timothy Renew, Internship, or Job Placement Partner
It is part of our mission at Timothy Christian Schools to ensure that students are equipped to serve the world in whatever vocation the Lord calls them. This includes a commitment to making sure all students are college and career ready when they graduate. We do this in a variety of ways — from career fairs, to career exploration embedded in the curriculum, internships, and job shadowing experiences.
We have found that one of the most effective ways to guide our students in the career and college discernment process is through a real-world experience within the Timothy community. Whether through a 7-day Renew internship or a college internship opportunity, we find that companies within the Timothy community provide valuable opportunities to help students explore careers. We have also found that alumni – job seekers and employers – have been highly satisfied in working with Timothy graduates.
Whether an alumni or current Timothy family, by becoming a Timothy Renew, Internship or Job Placement Partner you will help our students and fellow alumni maximize their impact in the world for Jesus Christ.
Ways to Get Involved
For: Timothy High School Juniors and Seniors
Length: 7-day, 40 hr. experience
Timeframe: January only
This experience in the world of adult realities allows students to see the time lawyers do not spend in a courtroom, to discover the patience required to teach second grade or to observe the precision required to be an engineer or research scientist, to name a few. These experiences can aid in major decisions the students are currently facing and more importantly in the discovery of how God has uniquely equipped them. Even internships that do not turn out as expected can be a valuable tool in the discovery process.
As a site coordinator, you would partner with Timothy Christian High School to provide an experience for the student to complete this exploration. Students are able to get as involved as the organization will allow in day-to-day activities.
For: Timothy Alumni
Length: All lengths of time
Timeframe: Most interest comes in summer, but all timeframes welcome
While in college, many of the alumni complete internship experiences for college credit. It is not uncommon for a previous student to reach out to our Timothy Community to see what opportunities may be available.
As an internship host, you would simply provide the information for the internship opportunity and contact information. We will place on the Alumni page and direct college students to this area for more information. This gives you an opportunity as Alumni to give back to the Timothy Community and perhaps discover a talent that your company could use upon the student’s college graduation.
For: Timothy Alumni and Current Students
Length: Full-time and part-time employment
One thing the Timothy Community is known for is networking. If you have a job posting, we would love to post the information on the Alumni page. This provides another outlet for you to share and a place for alumni that share your same values to find opportunities.
If you are interested in any of the opportunities listed above, please complete the Career Opportunities form. An individual from the alumni office will reach out to you to gather more information. If you have any questions, please contact Jay Evenhouse.
