TC's Dance Season has come to an end and the team would like to share a few of the season's highlights. The competition team competed with two routines from the beginning of December through the middle of February. They competed with IHSA, coming just within reach of qualifying for state and qualified for state with the Illinois Drill Team Association.
Some of the highlights of the season include performing to the Fight Song at the Homecoming Soccer game with the cheer team, performing the hip hop routine at the Varsity Girls' Basketball senior night game, and several varied routines at the home varsity basketball games. The most fun opportunity was performing the Christmas routine at the United Center on New Year's Eve. The favorite routine annually is always the Daddy/Daughter routine performed at the last home basketball game on senior night.
The team also enjoyed the elementary school children at both the dance camp in the summer and the Daddy/Daughter Hoedown that brought more than 40 little girls accompanied with their dads wearing cowboy boots and hats to the high school gym to line dance, wheelbarrow race and bob for apples in the fall.
Our two competition routines along with the Christmas routine performed at the United Center and the Daddy/Daughter routine are linked below.
