By 8th grade at Timothy Christian Schools, Kayla had already performed with the ILMEA District Choir once before—in 6th grade. Last September, with guidance from Ms. DeJager, she began preparing her audition for the ILMEA Junior High All-State Choir, the inaugural ensemble for junior high students in Illinois.

With a graceful swoop and an umbrella in hand, Timothy Christian Schools senior, Maggie Crichton, flew across the Huizenga Auditorium—effortlessly, confidently. Gasps turned into roaring applause as the audience rose to their feet, swept up in the magic of the moment. But it wasn’t just the flight that dazzled—it was the way she commanded the stage with poise, joy, and energy.

There’s more to Mr. Pelt’s band class than just hitting the right notes. The beauty of music points to the Creator of the universe. 

From the first note to the final bow, Austin Zeilstra’s experiences in Timothy's performing arts program led to unforgettable friendships, leadership opportunities, and a deepened faith.

The Huizenga Auditorium was transformed into an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Aboard were a jaded nightclub singer, a low-level but lovable gangster, a young debutante and her English fiancé, among a host of other passengers. It's a story of mistaken identity, really (really) bad disguises, and wordplay that will keep you chuckling to yourself. But it's the music that fans of the original musical cherish, keeping this beloved musical afloat.
