Athletics Team

From the desk of the Athletic Director

Dear Trojan Fans,

As I write this, August is right around the corner. While summer is a time to rest, relax and recharge, the Athletics Department has been busy finalizing schedules, securing coaches and hosting hundreds of students for sports camps.  Athletic improvement projects have been full steam ahead with all three of our gym floors being refinished and new dugouts scheduled to be installed soon on the Softball field.

While we are excited about these campus enhancements, we are even more excited to begin another school year! High School tryouts being the week of August 7 and 14 with middle school starting the week of August 28. (Visit this link for exact dates and details). Also, don’t forget to register your student athlete on Snap! and be sure they have a current Physical on file at all times during their season. Physicals can be turned into the respective offices or emailed to athletics@timothychristian.com.

We are pleased to be a part of the newly formed Chicagoland Christian Conference (CCC) and look forward to some healthy competition with this nine team faith-based conference which includes Aurora Christian, Bishop McNamara, Chicago Christian, Chicago Hope Academy, Chicago Christ the King Jesuit, Marian Central Catholic, St. Edward Central Catholic, Timothy Christian and Wheaton Academy.

Before we dash off to our fall season, we'd like to recognize our Spring 2023 season accomplishments. For the first time since 1970, our high school Boys Track team earned the title of Conference Champs. They sent many individuals to State where Nathan Canada received a 6th place medal for 110 high hurdles. 1970. Girls Track had two state qualifiers, Jenny Lumkes and Elisabeth Alex, where Elisabeth earned a 6th place medal in the high jump. Boys Tennis were MSC Champs and sent Tommy Kunz and Hendrick DeVries to State competition, The Baseball team celebrated being co-champions of the MSC Red Division and were also Regional Champs. And, our Girls Soccer teams didn’t disappoint with the high school team winning a Regional Championship and the middle school winning the Conference Championship.

As we head expectantly into a new year and all the excitement it brings,, we are grateful for the support of all our fans who bring such enthusiasm into our athletics competitions. Let’s all remember to exhibit Christ-life sportsmanship both on and off the field.

Timothy Trojans....let’s get the ball rolling, knock it out of the park and make this year a slam dunk!
