As Director of Advancement Bob VenHousen’s job is to advance Timothy financially. Call it semantics, but the way Bob sees it, the word advancement in his title, isn’t just tied to raising resources. To Bob advancement has a much deeper meaning: to advance the Kingdom of God. And that is what’s been at the very core of a Timothy education for over one hundred years.
Laura Horner’s life was changed in the parking lot of Timothy Christian Schools—not once, but twice. It was in that parking lot where she experienced selfless love and acceptance. It was an act that so deepened her faith, it set her on a course that eventually led her across the world to her son.
It’s been 21 years since Rick Huisman wore a Kansas City Royals jersey. Today he is a mentor to Timothy seniors Nick Huisman and Jimmy Allen. Jimmy, a shortstop, and Nick, a pitcher who can throw 85 miles per hour, both received scholarships. Jimmy will play Division l and Nick Division ll.
