Tuition & Enrollment

We are pleased  that on average there was a less than a 1% tuition increase across all grade levels for the 2020–21 school year.

This was the lowest tuition increase on record and further strengthens our position among private schools in Chicagoland as the school that truly provides more for less.

Enrollment & Tuition

Timothy uses an enrollment platform to manage enrollment and re-enrollment contracts, enrollment forms, and tuition payments. The tuition manager module inside the enrollment management platform is referred to as Smart Tuition. You can access both here:

For questions about tuition payments, please contact Tyler VanderBrug, Director of Finance and Operations For questions related to enrollment or re-enrollment, please contact Dan Quist, Director of Admissions

Tuition Assistance

Families in need of assistance should apply to the Children's Tuition Fund via the SGO (Scholarship Granting Organization). The Children's Tuition Fund has clear instructions for parents and how to apply. You can find the information here:

Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)

The “Shop With Scrip” Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) is an easy way to reduce your tuition cost. When shopping on-line, in person, or at a restaurant, just switch your payment method to gift cards purchased thru the program as opposed to paying with your debit/credit card. This simple move can effortlessly save you hundreds of dollars each year in tuition.

*ShopWithScrip also runs many promotions throughout the year. Be on the lookout for flash bonuses! Rebates can add up quickly when taking advantage of them.

How is this possible?

Families pay full face value for gift cards through the Scrip program. By using our special enrollment code, our organization pays a lesser amount based on the “rebate/percent” offered. The difference between face value and the actual cost is immediate fundraising. Rather than keep the money, Timothy Christian will transfer the money earned (TRIP funds) into your family’s tuition account -or- it can be held and applied at a later date if you are a future family.

How does the tuition credit work?

Each January and May, Timothy Christian will apply your TRIP funds to your student(s) tuition. If not needed, or if you are feeling generous, feel free to contact us about donating your TRIP funds into the general Timothy Fund to help other needy families.

If you are a future Timothy Christian family, don’t delay! You can start earning funds for their Timothy education using TRIP now.  We will hold the tuition credit until your student enrolls.

Grandparents, family and friends can also participate in raising funds for your child’s tuition by setting up an account of their own and designating your student(s) to receive TRIP funds for their purchases.

When funds are transferred in January & May, a small administrative fee of 5% will be deducted before the tuition credit is applied. (For example, if the tuition credit earned is $100, $5 will be deducted and $95 will be transferred). This covers all fees our school incurs as associated with the TRIP Shop With Scrip Program like shipping, etc. Please be aware that Timothy Christian applies TRIP credits to reduce tuition only (not the Capital Maintenance fee, miscellaneous class fees, etc).

How do I register?

  1. Email for the enrollment code.  For verification, please be sure to include your name and your child(ren)s name(s) and grade(s) that attend Timothy.  Once you have received the enrollment code from us in response to your email, move on to step 2.
  2. Go to and click on "Join A Program"

How do I pay for my orders?

The rebate amount is the same any way you pay.  Payments made via your bank account are charged a $0.15 fee per order, regardless of how many cards you purchase in that transaction. If using a credit card (Visa/Mastercard), a 2.6% fee is added to your total order. Checks are not acceptable forms of payment. Note: TRIP payments are not tax-deductible as you are receiving full value of the amount paid (dollar for dollar).

Placing TRIP gift card orders

All TRIP orders must be placed online at OR by using the RaiseRight mobile app.

Gift cards are the same as cash, non-returnable and non-exchangeable. (Retailers, their discounts and increment amounts are subject to change without notice.) Please use the gift cards in a timely manner. TRIP is not responsible for unused cards purchased for retailers no longer in business.

Purchase electronic or physical TRIP gift cards

There are two kinds of gift cards: physical (hard plastic) and electronic. Electronic Gift Cards: Download and use the RaiseRight mobile app for the quickest and easiest way to receive your gift cards electronically & immediately. Simply share your screen with the cashier so she/he can scan it as payment on your purchase.

Physical Gift Cards: Use the schedule below to order online at & pick up your TRIP gift card order in the Timothy Christian Business Office at no additional cost to you.  Please check your order immediately upon receipt and notify the TRIP coordinator of any discrepancy. Neither TCS nor the TRIP volunteers are responsible for lost or stolen cards.  Cards left in the business office after 12 months will become property of the school.

If you would like your regular TRIP orders sent home with a student, please email with your name, the student’s name and permission to send the orders with the student. We are not responsible for lost orders, so please consider this when deciding to have orders sent home.

If you would like your cards sooner, or forgot to place your physical gift card order in time and don’t want to wait till next month, families may pay a shipping and handling fee to have ShopWithScrip mail their order to their home. The fee is based on the number of gift cards in the order plus a postage fee, so the total shipping cost will vary. Standard orders will be sent using USPS, or families can upgrade to UPS.  See website for more details.

Changes to your account?

It is your responsibility to notify the Tuition Reduction Incentive Program coordinator of any changes to your account. For example, changing from current to future family.  The change will take effect when we are notified via email to

What if my current student leaves Timothy?

Although you will no longer be eligible to receive your TRIP funds if you leave Timothy, your family will have 60 days after your student’s departure to transfer your funds to another Timothy student.  Just send an email to notifying us of the Timothy Christian family to whom you want to transfer funds to.  After 60 days, if we don’t hear from you your TRIP credit will be deposited into the General Tuition Assistance account.
