Jacob Busse (6th grade) will attend the Midwestern American Choral Directors Association Conference as an honor choir participant this Thursday through Saturday. Over 500 choir students from eight midwestern states auditioned for an honor choir spot in October. Jacob was one of 120 young men accepted into the mid-level men’s choir for boys in 6th-8th grade. He has been preparing 5 songs, two of which are in Macedonian and Latin, with Ms. DeJager for the past two months. Jacob will be at rehearsals in Chicago under the direction of Daniel Gutierrez, Director of Choirs at Nixa High School, from Nixa, Missouri. The Honor Choir concert closes out the 3-day conference with a performance at Harris Theater in Millennium Park on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Congratulations, Jacob!
