February was a busy month for our instrumentalists! On Saturday, Feb. 15, Mr. Pelt brought a pep band consisting of Timothy middle and high school band students (and one parent performer) to play crowd favorites before a Chicago Wolves hockey game. Mrs. Lanenga also “sat in” with the band on a few tunes! After the band played, the students and their families enjoyed an exciting hockey game.

Several of our high school band students were selected for the All-Conference Band festival held at Ridgewood Tuesday, Feb. 18. The festival had both concert and jazz band experiences and included students from all 13 of the Metro Suburban Conference schools that have band programs. The Timothy students who participated were Anna Breuker, Annie Taylor, Kate Forgac, Elise Terpstra, Caleb Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, Luke Van Hout, and Justin Voss. These students spent the day rehearsing with respected guest clinicians and gave a wonderful concert performance in the evening. Congratulations to these excellent musicians for their extra dedication to represent our school so well in the conference.
