Amy Bode

"I originally come from Sheboygan, Wisconsin - a beautiful city on the shore of Lake Michigan. I met my wife, Casey, in a biology lab in college. (Science played a big part in our lives!) We were married in May and have been enjoying our first married summer together visiting friends, watching many movies, and playing with our new black cat, Kohl. When I am not working, I love playing and watching sports, playing video games, frisbee golfing, and enjoying time with friends and family.

I graduated from Trinity Christian College in May 2020 with a B.A. in Biology Education and minors in history and chemistry. I have had many hours working in classrooms throughout my education at Trinity over the past few years and have gained further experience through coaching middle school basketball the past two years. This is my first year at Timothy and I am very excited to see what new and great things await in the coming year.

I have been saved through God’s grace and He has been a huge part of my life since I accepted Christ around age 14. This grace and salvation has freed me from my sin and because of that I work to His glory in all I do. I believe that in a world that is constantly changing, filled with uncertainty, injustice, and pain, we can rely on a God that is constant in love, patience, and forgiveness. Living in that reality gives me renewed hope and energy each day to live for Christ. I also believe that this collective hope amongst the church can be a beautiful, powerful thing when put into action as we are called to do. We are called to love the world and the people in it as God calls us to. As an educator, I want to fill my students with an awe and love of their Creator by looking at the science in creation. I believe that science can help students understand the creativity of God and become more aware of the awesome creation they are meant to interact with and care for." — Mr. Kowitz
